Terrance Lee Irish Memorial Scholarship Application Details
The Forest Lake Youth Football Board is proud to support the academic and athletic pursuits of young athletes through the Terrance Lee Irish Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors the memory of one of our own youth players, Terrance Lee Irish, whose passion for the game and positive impact on others continues to inspire.
Applicants must complete this electronic application by 11:59 pm on March 31, 2026.
This scholarship is available to Forest Lake High School seniors who meet the following criteria:
- At least 4 years of combined participation in youth and high school football.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and a love for the game, both on and off the field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 from grade 10 through the first semester/quarter of grade 12.
- Currently resides within the borders of Independent School District 831.
- Plans to attend a college, university, or technical school following the completion of their senior year.
- Submits a 500-word essay that reflects on their personal experience in football and how it aligns with the values of the scholarship, such as perseverance, teamwork, and leadership.
- Includes a letter of recommendation from a coach or teacher that speaks to the applicant's character, work ethic, and contribution to the football community.
The Terrance Lee Irish Memorial Scholarship awards $1500 to deserving student-athletes who not only excel in academics but also serve as role models within the Forest Lake community. This scholarship is a testament to Terrance’s legacy, inspiring young athletes to pursue their dreams both in the classroom and on the field.
